Buyers are evenly divided about whether a corner position is a plus or a minus.
The marketing spiel on a corner house always mentions the position for a good reason: it has more natural light, is easier to subdivide, has one less neighbour to deal with, offers more potential for off-street parking ... did they mention the light?
Indeed, in areas with wall-to-wall terraces on a block the size of a large bed, that extra breathing space often attracts a 10 per cent premium.
